Patrick looks like you'll not only get the haboob, but rain too.
I really like the word haboob!

So that's what they were calling it! I can't wait to walk the 20ft to my car.
Edit: Yup, the neighborhood is engulfed.

It made the NYC news tonight. The video was impressive.

If it wasn't for the lightning ruining my hikes, I would 100% love monsoon season.

Just got done hosing off the covered part of the patio and furniture (I'll let nature take care of the uncovered stuff). It looked like the chocolate river from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Nice that it's only 82 degrees though!

I was in the north end of Casa Grande when it hit. We couldn't see past the neighbors house, but we could see (and laugh at) them trying to finish grilling dinner

. Bet it tasted like dinners on windy days camped at Lake Powell!

Anyone living in the Chandler/Gilbert/Mesa area wanna come by my house and pick up their dirt?
Our backyard is on the southside and this morning it looked like a sepia photo.

This one was definitely a storm to behold. I was here for the last major one (was it 2000, 2001?) and it just pales compared to this one =)
Got a few pics from my balcony before it completely overtook me (scottsdale/101 area):

(Ignore the last photo with the lightning as that was from Sunday, not yesterday's event.)
Honestly, just watching it from my balcony I was left speechless. It really was one of those 'gotta see it to really get it' kinda things. Now the little storm chaser inside of me says 'lets to it again!'

Thunder and winds and scared dogs up here. We'll see if anything comes of it.

Very cool!
We have had regular rain in Eagar/Springerville, parts of the forest are opening tomorrow, the road to Hannagan (191) is open. Looking good around here.

I have noticed more and more dedicated AZHers popping up on HAZ lately. They are seeing the light... ;)
No really, I love the folks on AZH. It's a very nice group of folks. It was great the two groups could coordinate when GPS Joe went missing.

Rain and humidity due back tomorrow. I've really loved this cold front and dry spell in July. Were it not for the drought issues, I could skip monsoon season.

Wonder if conditions will be okay for Humphreys this Tuesday.
