I have only honor and respect for those who can bring a similar level of intelligence, wit, and hunky sexiness to the haz forum and comment sections. And also humility.

Native Americans lived in ruins so there was little need to worry about messing up the living room.
I will be using this info at my next museum lecture.

Step to the downhill side of the trail when encountering pack stock.

@chumley
predators hunt from above. if you go below they are less likely to freak out and kick you. This reduces the likelihood of a bad encounter.
Unless you are in the grand canyon, where the damn mules will follow you on the downhill and try to push your pumpkin off the edge of a cliff.

"Since 1893 Supai (the Havasu village) is the only village in America where mail is delivered by horse and mule." I think I'll post this on the FB hiking group and see how long it takes before it's locked.

GC Trivia
California condors at Grand Canyon are interested in your well being. They are waiting for you to die as they do not hunt. @HAZ_Hikebot

Indeed! More than one human body has only been located thanks to the condors and vultures days to weeks after the person fell or jumped!

Pine, Fir or Spruce Tree...
Pine tree needles are attached to the branches in clusters of two (red pine group), three (yellow pine group), or five (white pine group) needles per cluster. Spruce and fir trees have their needles attached individually to the branches.

How else am I to know if I'm on one of the GC Corridor trails?

Simple. You'll be knocked over by an endless line of people with no regard for the incredible scenery and majesty of the landscape, but primarily concerned about their quest for some FKT or personal "race" instead.
