This thread is oh so great!!!!! I am dying of laughter here! I can remember the days of Jiffy pop! My Mom tried several times to make it and was never successful! She always burnt it. Then my Daddy would get his trusty two quart sauce pan out and pour the oil in and add the salt and pop perfect pop corn every time! Popcorn never tasted so good!

No luck at Fry's or Target, thanks though. Looks like I will make some popcorn in the dutch oven.

After lurking about, I finally found Jiffy Pop at K-Mart on Power Road in Mesa.

Reading this thread brought back fond memories......I haven't thought about Jiffy Pop in ages! Lost in Space? Batman and Robin? I'm having a 60's flashback!

And speaking of 60's flashbacks, who was more powerful: Jeannie or Samantha?

Samantha and she had her evil twin Serena!

Jeannie had an evil twin too.
I think it was a push
- they both did stuff by a physical twitch (blink/nose)
- they both used incantations, potions and had other supernaturals to help out occasionally
- they both were blond
- they were both babes (Jeannie=exotic but cheesy; Samantha=practical beauty)
- they both had bumbling husbands
Although I'd have to give Samantha the edge - she had a little more intelligence and wasn't quite as ditsy. Big bonus for her was Dr. Bombay - toatally great support character. Big minus was the mother - Endora.
No in-laws for Jeannie - so maybe it is a push after all.
(Oh, and Batman and Robin were the bomb [primarily because of Catwoman - major babe there], Jiffy-pop was mesmerizing for a youngster to watch, Lost in Space was lame, Star Trek was WAY better, My Favorite Martian was also better. Two thumbs down to Gomer Pyle, All in the Family, The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family. Two thumbs up for Welcome Back Kotter, Wild Wild West, Gunsmoke and Starsky and Hutch [Huggy Bear made the show - and that sweet Ford Gran Torino] - hows that for a little trip down memory lane...)

Olesma,
I'm gonna add you to my buddy list just for mentioning Wild Wild West and Star Trek. I loved both those shows as well as others you mentioned. All In The Family was way way ahead of it's time....my Dad looks like Archie Bunker...how scary is that?
You're correct...Jeannie had an evil twin too but I loved Samantha/Serena and Dr. Bombay was a hoot.
Star Trek was the BEST......."he's dead, Jim" and NTG was even better!
Wild Wild West! The only guy I know who looked good in spandex & bellbottems
What a trip down memory lane! Made me smile.....

If I recall correctly, Jeannie lost her powers when she was back in her bottle with the lid on. So if that is correct, I'd say Samatha was more powerful. No limits ;)
