HAZ Identification

I heard Matt mention that HAZites in the past used Arizona Flag patches or bandannas attached to their packs as a methond of identity. Is this a common practice and how many of you out there have done this? It would be awesome to spot a HAZer from the patch or at least some sort of ID. Maybe we can get Joe interested in designing and selling patches right here on the site, in the store!

OK, so according to the author page, 5 more hikes moves me from #113 to the top 50.

Also, I find that leaving the writing to those with the proper vernacular is better. I tend to be, shall we say, Cro-magnon in my writing style, which would leave those whose eyes fall upon my dossier a bit dissatisfied. So, to you great Shakespeares out there, I "WILL" lend you my ears, and hear of your journeys, and follow in your footsteps. Literally.

I would like to be seen as part of the entity you all have established here, even if it is for a quick "Salutations." As for me, I am the guy with the faded #5 Nomar Red Sox cap on. I don't go hiking without it.

I can hardly wait to see what kind of group hike can do that! Not sure I would want to go though!

I still have my HAZ sticker in the rear window of my jeep. I also have one of the white HAZ t-shirts. I don't wear it often so it's in good shape. Tom gave me a HAZ patch. I'm not sure which pack to sew it on. :?

Now I told you at the time George, you had to do better than free-climb the South face of Weaver's needle to get two... remember?

In response to azhiker96's reply: Just put velcro on your patch and all your packs and you can move it to whichever one that you need...

Now Tom...are you making members work for a patch? I guess that's better than what you were going to do...sell them for $49.95 each and tell people it included a full year's membership on HAZ!

I like the velcro idea or maybe even figure some way to put a back on the patch that has a good strong clip on it.
