When is the best time to hike? Or better yet, when is there the least amount of snow? I was thinking at the end of May... the sooner the better. Any ideas?

I didn't do Humphrey on the 7th, but I did Elden that day. It was really windy on that. When I was coming down, at one point I looked back at the mountain and could see dust blowing in front of it. I road my bike to it, and had a really hard time riding home. Knowing how bad it was on the 7th makes me glad I opted to go on the 6th. I had calm conditions, it was perfect for being up there.adrenna wrote:Did anybody hike Humphries on June 7th? The worst wind I have ever had on top. Easily over 85 mph. We had to crawl the last 200 yards or so. Unbelievable.....
