Rick successfully had a lesion removed from his Larynx this morning. It was indeed cancerous, but of a variety rated as T2. The surgeon is certain he was able to remove the growth intact. Rick’s voice will be hoarse for a few weeks, but with that exception, everything should be back to normal shortly.

You should know that Rick talks to strangers in Wal-Marts, Home Depots, or Albertsons, LOL. He once woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me a story about the Salvation Army, the oration lasted for 2 hours. In other words, Rick loves to talk, and his voice is important to him.

I’ve not read any of the notes / letters that were written to Rick until this morning. I’m truly impressed and amazed at the thoughts expressed. I thought he was interested in a hiking forum, I had no idea he was getting this type of support and encouragement from people like you. I assure you it has been an important part of keeping his spirits up.

I fully intend to have a celebration at our place in August, everyone is invited, details to follow. Yes, Rick babbles on and on, but I'd rather listen to his babble than to his silence.

A million thanks to all, make that a billion,

Miss Rick

Let's hear it now!

You are right, I can now sing "Paint Your Wagon", Just like Lee Marvin,
"I was born, under a wanderin' star..."

Love that movie Snick33, now you can sing like both Clint and Lee.
'Paint Your Wagon' was Clint Eastwood's first singing role, his first film 'Revenge of the Creature from the Black Lagoon' is a true horror classic for those in poor taste.

Better get practicin' Rick, 'sounds like you've got a recital in August.

The mere thought of Ethel singing is enough to cause the hairs to raise up on the back of my neck.

Yikes.

Snick - if your voice sounds like that - have the doc go in and fix that in a hurry...

a bit late

I had some free time today (in Illinois) and just got caught up on the boards....Snick, gotta tell ya, glad to hear all seems to be ok!

I read "double crap" first, and was just smashed for you, then read "He's alive" and did a complete 180!...

Alot happens in a few weeks.

I know this sounds korny, but this board is a pretty cool place. I'm proud of the people that frequent the boards. You are all good people.

So,Snick!
