Camelback at night

Does anyone know if it's possible to get clearance to be on top of Camelback after dark? Officially, the park is only open sunrise to sunset, but I'd really love to get some sunset and night photos of the valley from up there (Squaw Peak too eventaully) but I can't say that I'm too terribly interested in getting arrested for trespassing or such.

Any thoughts/suggestions/tips?

Keep in mind the rangers are just doing their job.

Seems to me the only really good time to hike CB is before 9 AM and after sunrise. Night hiking seems foolish with the temps and that trail's condition.

Avoid using the parking lots if planning to hike "after hours", avoid using a white headlamp and if questioned you took a nap.

@Thoreau Or maybe they could just close the trail and SAR needs drop even further?

That's about the logic i would expect from them.

Or they could stop the kneejerk reactions and leave it as it has been for years before i ever heard of the trail. That's never gonna happen though since it's hard to justify a budget to maintain status quo. Gotta give the appearance of productivity =)
