Mother Lode Dos Veces

I'm throwing this out there to see if anybody is interested. Jim mentioned he's available on Wednesdays (I think). However I'm open to doing this whenever before the third week of October. I'd be happy to do it on multiple dates as I really enjoy this hike. Hopefully somebody is up for doing the seven peak out and back

The standard loop is fine too but I should forewarn we may have to do some climbing that will make most uneasy to get around the mine if it's in operation.

If this is on the 14th, I'm in. I was thinking about doing Browns, but if a crew is going the Lode, how can I pass that up?

Now that I've thought about it, I'm out. I'm not worried about the strain...more about the time on the trail. I'll keep an eye out for another Lode trip this fall. You'll probably catch me on the way up to Browns.

The over and back is a tough one. It may have taken a little extra time.

Hey Joe,
Sorry I missed this one; however, swine flu seems to have taken over my life temporarily.
Looks like a great mid-week hike.

I'll be out of the game then.
If anybody wants to do this between now and Monday let me know cause I'm itchin'. I prefer to do the out-n-back but am game for a single too. I'm no desert-boonie65 or Kenny so it's best I not go alone. Remember it is difficult. I quote superman MARLIN driving home. "You know that was kind of a difficult hike"

Okay Friday is locked up now. Could take one other if I know your ability as we're on a tight schedule.
Onwards to Sunday...
If anybody is interested in doing a single or out-n-back Mother Lode on Sunday let me know.
I'm also game to a Superstition Ridgeline loop going up the tougher Massacre side then loop back with Peralta. I forewarn it's beyond steep going up from Massacre, I quote Nick mid way up from our January hike "dude if want to turn around I'm okay with that". However it would probably be borderline hot for most with a high of 90 that day. If you're proven in heat and can lug lots of water then it won't be an issue. (I'm not interested in a shuttle on this at all, it's too time consuming. Might as well be hiking!) Could also swing the loop out further to Terrapin with little more effort. Could also circle Bluff Spring Mountain if anybody really wants to go on a death march!
Another option is in Sedona. With the recent post to my Boynton's Backyard I'm reminded I'd like to attempt Secret Mountain that way. It's a beefy hike with an easier but long loop if the attempt fails mid hike.
All of these are full day hikes, contact me if interested. thx

How are you doing a loop combining Massacre Grounds w/ Peralta?

Head straight up to the ridge over the waterfall. Walk across the ridge. Come down to Fremont Saddle, turn north on the Peralta Trail to First Water and skip trace over to... oops forgot Massacre Trailhead is gone now so continue on to the Crosscut Trailhead.

As for all four in one day, I can live in peace without that accomplishment. Joe Bartels from 2003
Ahhh. what a difference 6 years makes...not only 4 in one day but 7..
