5:30 start-time at the Lost Dutchman Trailhead, earlier start-time possible if there's a consensus. HPP needs to be back to the car by 10:30, 11:00 at the latest. Come on Bob/Joe/Joel or any of you other insane Phoenicians!

I have family obligation on Friday (mom's rescue lab has heartworms so I have to keep him sedate) so Friday hike is OUT and Saturday hike is IN.
On a related note: make sure to get your dog tested for heartworms, and then take care of it. My mom's new dog is a rescue lab, and his previous owners evidently didn't take care of business. If your dog's vet doesn't ask about heartworms, then you need to find a new vet.

Sam, the son of a co-worker, may come along with us. Looking forward to a grand slam breakfast, jumping off Flatiron with an umbrella, then off to Grandma's for the kegger!

uhmm,
enter the park, self-pay your fee (not open at that hour) drive on, don't take the first right, don't take the next left, or the next one, loop around. I sometimes park on the east lot (Nearest the Saguaro Day use printed on the map) and go east to Jacob's Crosscut, or go to the turn-around lot at the end, near the 2080 on the map and we can walk the "Interpretive" path to Siphon Trail.. guess we need to decide on which way to go.... I might be up there early(er) to do some night star tracks photos by Praying Hands... hmmmmm

I'd prefer the quickest approach to maximize time up top, whichever that is. I won't have internet access tomorrow night so I'll send out PMs tomorrow to everyone with my cell #. I'll try to check this thread tomorrow around 5PM for the latest posts, after that I'll only be contactable by phone.

You just need directions to the park. Once inside signs direct you to the large Siphon Draw Trailhead.

That works. I used the TrailDEX Map directions tool, I think can make it to the park easily enough. Anyone know what the entrance fee is now?

Bob, you'll be fine. Just bring your rain gear. With the likely-wet weather we'll have to go slow. See you at oh-dark-thirty
