Depending on road and trail conditions, I'm planning to start at the Mt. Peely TH and hike north to the junction of the Fisher Trail and turn back. Distance should be just over 16 miles. Leaving Mesa at 5:30am.

I'll likely camp out the night before along FR 201, fly the HAZ flag and wait for the rest of you guys on Sunday morning. If anyone wants to join me, send me a PM.

I am in, was a little leary about putting in the miles but have to bump it up at some point. I have a Jeep we can use for car pooling. Fit 4 nicely, 5 snuggly. How you all driving there? Trying to avoid driving to Mesa if we are headed back up past Fountain Hills.

We take the Bush Hwy to the Beeline, so we won't be going past Ftn Hills. If you want to meet some people from Phx and the west side somewhere in between so we don't have to cram 9 people into 2 vehicles, we could meet you at the junction of the Beeline and Bush Hwys. Or else you could meet at my place. Let me know and/or discuss in this thread so we all know.

If anyone wants to carpool and meet up at Ft McDowell Casino and catch a ride in my jeep that is cool.

Can we get at least two people to designate/announce that they will meet Ron at the Casino? Either both drive directly there or meet somewhere in central Phx or along the way. Groth is likel to commit soon, so if 2 people meet Ron, we'll have a solid 7 (for now) in 2 vehicles on the way up. We can meet Preston at his campsite.

Ron, can you meet us all at the junction of the 202 and Power Road? We can probably cram everyone in 2 vehicles from my house to there. Let me/us know.

If you guys are leaving Mesa at 5:30 am, I'll be parked along Forest Road 201 by 6:15 or so, ready to go. If you see a gold chevy truck, honk.

Do you want to come to my house @ 19th Ave/Thomas, and then I'll drive us to Ft. McDowell to meet Ron? It's an easy shot from my pad down the Red Mountain 202 to the Beeline Hwy.

Take I-17 south to Thomas. Go east on Thomas past the traffic lights @ 23rd Ave & 19th Ave. Go left (north) on 18th Ave, take your first right, 2nd house on the right (south).

That should be enough for everyone else to meet at my place. If anyone else commits we'll have to have a 4th driver step up. Let me know if anyone has any other ideas or concerns for the meetup. The plan for now is; everyone except Jim, Joe, Ron and Preston will meet at my house. from there we'll take 2 vehicles and meet those 4 somewhere along FR201.

I think I gave everyone my address and cell#. If anyone needs any contact or meetup info, let me before 8:30pm Sat. nite. I'll do a final check about that time tomorrow evening and then it's lights out-sleepy time for the big day Sunday. If nothing else changes, see everyone on Sunday.

The best one that everyone missed was Soap Creek Canyon, in JULY!! That one was just about the most intense hike I've done in a long time.
