With all of your experiences in hiking this great land, I am curious as to what is the strangest thing you have encountered whether it be animal or whatever???

Oh man, GTG that is hilarious; from now on, every time I look at you I'm gonna see you covered with sh*t as well as full of it :!: :P

I knew I was in trouble with Hooli when I posted that.
Takes one to know one.

GTG - I have to say - that is the most disgusting (and admirable) thing I have heard in a long time. But I agree with Hoolie - I'll never be able to look at you the same way again.
I'll have to search long and hard in my memory to come up with anything to top that.
GTG wins.

Okay - that's the funniest thing I've seen all week. And I have to say that I'm appalled the resemblance didn't occur to me earlier.
Way to go Hoolie.

Interestingly enough, there have been numerous reported sightings of the beast on the bottom, so there is some evidence that it actually exists. The same can't be said for the one on the top; to date there have been no reported sightings of it leaving one to wonder if it may be a hoax of some kind. Very puzzling :!:

Okay, you found me out. Teva Joe is a product of my overactive imagination.
I take a pair of Tevas with me when I go hiking and "plant" footprints on some of the trails. I've also stashed little bits of HikeArizona.com stickers on some of the trails and left droppings of HikeArizona.com Bic pens around as well. I thought I was fooling everyone.
Oh well. Next you'll be wanting me to confirm stories that the "Teva Joe" monster has fathered a love child with HRC and hangs out with Elvis.

Oh man! Even I'm not mean and nasty enough to start that rumor 'bout our Teva Joe.....that's right, I won't start it............. but I'll sure as hell repeat it :!:

Don't look at me...I didn't start any rumors - I just mentioned a particular scenario that cannot be confirmed. Teva Joe will surely deny its veracity, but then...that's exactly what we'd expect.....hmmmmmm......

Ah right! Sometime in the mid-70's a friend and I think we stumbled unto the tracks of bigfoot. No kiddin'. Walking up hill, large patches of snow, in the foothills of north Bradshaw. Stride was twice as long as ours, barefoot, scarey. After following the prints awhile, my friend and I got more apprehensive, spooked, and just decided to get out of there. And we scrambled down the mountain through scrub oak and pines. We decided then not to take our girlfriends up there for a picnic.

Let's see, mid 70's? Teva would have been about five years old; barefoot? Well Teva's hadn't been invented yet.......it works for me :!:

Oh ya. Yep, don't want to point fingers, the size of these tracks was huge! At least fourteen to fifteen inches long with the distinct shape of toes. My friend and I figured the tracks were distorted from time and sun, you know, bunny tracks melting that type of thing. Scarey. For the record I have gone back up there afterwards, but did not see hide nor hair of this hairy beast!
