I was expecting a few bucks, but was pleasantly surprised to see I had built up a $100 dividend! DADDY GOT NEW BOOTS! $125, deduct the 20% for one single item...made them $100, applied my dividend and viola...FREE BOOTS!

When does all the new stuff come out? And any body know when the "garage sales" are? Is that what they call them?

Next garage sale is this saturday 4/24.. as for this years models im not sure, i bet if you called one of the stores they could help you out more..

OMG! I just went down to REI for a short mid-morning "meeting". The check-out line extended to just short of the rental counter at the far end of the store! Luckily, all the registers were open so it only took about 10 minutes to get through. Big crowd for the sale though...

That's not encouraging. I should be at the Tempe REI in about an hour.

Now our Tucson brethren will be chiming in (more often) on these REI threads - the Tucson REI Grand Opening is today.

The lines were long, but I got through in about 5 min. Finnally got those Chaco Z2's ive been wanting forever!

Yep, REI just got its $20 outta me so we'll see how it goes!

Nice job dirt 4 dinner I thought I was a big spender with a $54 refund. Im telling you though I have been buying more and more from steepandcheap.com awesome deal if you can wait for what you want to pop up.

Just about identical to mine =) $135 pair of Lowa's, minus 20%, minus $107 dividend = ~$1.50 pair of boots!

PS: I know there's NO way in spent enough at REI this past year to get that dividend just on the 10% alone, so all I can say is that REI Visa card was worthwhile!

I bought a few big-ticket items last year (GPS, updated maps, a bunch of wool stuff for Mrs. big_load), so I shamefully admit to earning a hefty dividend. Mine went toward an Osprey Talon 22, which will be my in-between sized daypack and business travel overflow capacity.

I got a crash pad, dress, and chalk bag with my dividend. Still have $15 left over from it to spend...

I got one nalgene bottle.

$70 this time around. I predict some new shoes in the future.

Apparently I don't dispose of enough of my income at REI! I just received a whopping $12.85 dividend

Mine came in at $112. I was a little surprised it was that much. I did not waste any time...drove down to the Tempe store and spent it earlier tonight.

REI is somewhat like the devil. Or Costco. Don't go there on payday because you will regret it in the morning.
My dividend is only $88, but I guess that means I spent over $800 at REI, and that's a little crazy. Christmas in March is awesome.
