Anyone interested in rock climbing?

Ive begun to get back into rock climbing after a nearly 30 year hiatus. It is my intention to be able to integrate it in with hiking to allow for some good adventures. So far I've been able to work it in on a couple recent canyoneering hikes.

I'm looking for partner(s) to go sport climbing (Devil's Canyon, etc.) or even meet at the Phoenix Rock Gym for a little work. It is not my intention to (nor am I any longer physically able to) do anything of any degree of real difficulty. Just simple, safe, and fun.

A friend and I are going climbing tomorrow late afternoon/evening (Friday) at the Phoenix Rock Gym on University if anyone wanted to show up and work out too.

Short notice but anyone that is up for it come on out. I will try and wear a black Prana (looks like a three stem flower) baseball cap so you can find me.

When were you guys planning on being there? I was thinking about maybe bringing my kids and maybe I'd be able to bum a belay or two from you guys while I was there.

We are probably looking at getting there around 4:30-5:00. Depends how fast we can break away from work.

Hey, you don't do anything at work. You'll probably be there by 3.

Look who is telling me I don't work. Haha. Dirk maybe I will head out around 3:00 and just climb all day and night. Why don't come out and give it a try?

Bruce and I did "The Hand" on the NE corner of Supe Mtn. yesterday. I am convinced this has to be the most intense 5.6 climb anywhere. The difficulty level was indeed no greater, but the exposure is absolutely mind blowing. Humongous two rope rappell to end it. It was awesome.

The hiking back up in there is cool too. There are use trails going all over along the base of spectacular rock formations and giant cliffs out toward the massacre area. It is permanently shaded back in there so it is kind of lush comparatively.
