so long as we get out of there before darkness falls.
Felecia and I are in for March 10th.. that gives us a week to recover for St. Paddy's day!
does this work for y'all?

Ah, too bad! I think you ought to do St. Paddy's then take 2 weeks to recover and do the hike, lol! That way you can burn all of those "Green" calories....
Since some of you are going in "tibber mode" I was considering taking the day off and joining you, but I am already taking the 10th off for something else. The soonest I could do another Sat or Sun would be the weekend of the 24th and then I could take another day....
It sure is nice to have a computer again...At least for the next 4 days....

The 10th sounds good, we'll let you know! I can leave my PU at either end as a shuttle vehicle. Early start? Like close to sun up? I'll leave it to the experienced as to which way is the least stressful, starting at Siphon or Peralta? You mentioned Crosscut, what about the free parking at the restaurant (Siphon side)?

park along first water rd. at the Jacob's trail and you'll get to see horses buck the rider, and disappear for 3 days.
anywhere parking is free, i'm unaware of the eatery but if you think it works, lets do it.
i'd rather park at Carney and head west. the sun is out of your eyes that way, for most of the hike. plus, i think the finale of coming down siphon is kinda good.

Park at the Mining Camp Restaurant. It shortens the drive for most of you, it's free with plenty of parking and at the end of the day it will cut about a mile off your hike, which may be a blessing, especially if you're really really thirsty....

If you're on 88, you'll see a Restaurant sign for the turnoff before the Lost Dutchman Park turnoff.
I'm not sure that you're actually
allowed to park
along First Water road anymore....Talk to mnlumberjack....
