MARCH 10th - 12 Moderate/Tough Miles

Join our group of hearty adventurers on a dayhike across the tops of the Superstition mountains!

we will use car shuttles to drop our group at Carney Springs trailhead by 8 am, so we can get an early start on a long day. this is a strenuous hike, about 12 miles ("supes miles" are regular miles, squared.) and tough conditions will require each attendee to be skilled in scrambling, navigation, and be well equipped with the 10 essentials of hiking.

after this wonderful exploration of the top of the superstion ridge we will end with a descent into Siphon Draw and out to our waiting vehicles. dinner/beverages at the Handlebar Inn will be had by all!

over the past few months my schedule is full and i havent so much as gotten any dayhikes in, much less backpacks. so this old squirrel is out of shape (unless round is a shape) so this wont be a death march. 2 mph is good enough..

As long as Snakemarks is also helping with the shuttle we should have plenty of room, right? We can both take 4 and I could squeeze a fifth in the cargo area but they would be bounced around a little. ;) If it was just me I'd either have to make two trips or start strapping people to the roof rack! I have plenty of room for gear etc.

See y'all 7:30 AM at Mining Camp

I can actually take 5 passengers, assuming they all get along! :sl:
2 + me in the front and 3 in the back - all have seat belts. Everybody's gear can fit in the bed of the truck.

Look forward to meeting you Snakemarks!

Looks like the dudes are covered and won't have to backtrack to get their vehicles after a tiring hike. I cleaned out my cargo area so I have plenty of room also. I can fit 4 + me (being cozy) and you can fit 6 total? What do you have an F-350? The one with the long legs needs to sit behind me for obvious reasons~~~
