Mazzy Peak

Sun_hiker and I had plans to hike this in January but I had to cancell due to my sons accident. March is so much nicer on Mazzy anyways. The plan is to take the Y-bar and summit and either take an off-trail route back or loop back on barney. This is a tough hike with some scrambling, climbing, and off-trail. The climbing can be bypassed. The plan would be to meet somewhere in Fountain Hills at 6amish. Remember you and only you are responsible for yourself...if you decide to join. I'll also carry a radio and have an extra. Most questions can be answered my looking at the description and the diferent gps tracks. As the date gets closer, I'll give a few options of the actual route depending on the dynamics of the group. If anyone is interested. There may be an option to hit some other peaks in the area.

To those in the interested...but not committed. One reason to committ is.... you will get to hike with the nicest guy on HAZ. I'm sure many will agree that Preston is the nicest guy you will ever meet....Denny is a close 2nd but he lost the nice off of 02-05-2010 to Preston. The other reason is... Preston casts a shadow that will keep everyone shaded ;)

Thanks Bob!

So only the nicest guy on HAZ will commit to hiking with Bob?
Then again every time I was going to hike with the Yeti he canceled.
Everyone else must be trying to steal my Supes secrets.

I'm really interested in joining in but this whole responsibility thing has me a bit concerned. I mean shouldn't it be your responsibility if I get hurt or lost? It is YOUR hike after all.

Don't you get lost and hurt every hike JJ3?

I guess you set a personal record by not falling down last hike.

Nice clip Bruce.

My mutts are staying home though. When my daughter joined the army I told her she had to watch Stripes and Gomer Pyle.
