thinking of doing a night or two in November in the Arrastra Mountain Wilderness. There is a jeep trail that runs about 6 miles from HWY 93 to Sycamore Spring. This area is remote and rarely visited by backpackers. Fantastic! Anyone interested?

PS - I know that this is my first real post on the forum, so by way of explanation: I usually backpack/hike solo or with friends outside the forum. I am quite experienced and have done many hikes/backpacks.

I did go, but did not go through private property. There is state trust land on the West side of HWY 93 that I (without permission) hiked across to get to the wilderness boundary. After about 5.5 miles, I turned south and used an old jeep trail turned footpath to reach the top of People's Canyon. Spectacular. It is a huge eroded area with incredible rock formations, surprising (but small) pools of water, and a campsite or two. Apparently there is more water down the canyon, but I got stopped up by brush and turned around. The entire walk in and out from 93 was 14 miles.
