this week's poll:
Do you typically eat less healthy after a hike?

i put yes, because i currently have a slurpee craving, which i try to limit to harder effort days
afterwards, i want salt, so my recovery snack is usually potato chips
mmm...sugar, salt and fat
on the other hand, i don't buy reese's pumpkins anymore

What the :pk: is an organic hot dog?

The delicious ground up hooves and entrails of pigs that were grain fed and free-range raised? :o
:)

Don't forget the other parts...hoo hoo pokers and pumpkin ports. Am I allowed to say this on HAZ? But it's true!

An organic hot dog is one based on carbon, but in this case, is one manufactured by Applegate Farms and marketed as being made from free range, antibiotic and hormone free animals, as well as nitrite and nitrate free during the process. The meat is beef, not pork. It is doubtful that they are made using genitals and entrail bits, as they probably aren't incorporating offal into the mix, but if they are, it is still a pretty good hot dog and one that tastes rather good. I can get them for 70+ miles, though, so I haven't had them for a while.

I like them. I like the Bison hot dogs, too, but I can only find them at Wholefoods. I only remember seeing them in Sante Fe, and I am not going there any time soon.

Touche!

The hardest time I had posting that photo was not putting it into Liz's free cat thread.

Yeah, everyone was uncharacteristically nice about my free cat. I did find a home for her, yesterday.

Not putting that photo in your thread was one of the most difficult decisions I ever made.
Well besides the one about sticking my tongue into the wall outlet.
