Signs are posted required for camping: shovel, axe and bucket. Has any one been asked by forest service folks when camping if you have these items ?

All campgrounds east of Payson and below the Rim will be open on April 3rd. according to the folks who operate them (RRM). The New Tonto National Forest Atlas incorrectly labeled Sharp Creek Campground on the South End of Pine, its located apx. two miles East of Christopher Creek Campground and apx. four miles West of 260 Trailhead on AZ 260 East of Payson.

Carry each of them; small axe, old style folding military shovel and a large bucket (type chorine tabs come in with screw on lid which doubles as storage bucket). Never was asked if I had them, but each are useful.
A very nice Ranger visited our small gathering of friends and family and asked us what our group size was. We responded with 80 and she corrected us politely by saying she saw 75. She then explained groups over 75 required Restrooms and she noted most of our group were self-contained units.
Appreciate the Rangers and Hotshots we have met up with as loving the same wilderness we do.
