nice capture of the waterfall at the rappel/jump spot
congrats, joel!

@Joel Hazelton
nice drive-by trash can bowling!
Except for cs50must's 4wd video, you have the most views of any HAZer videos I know about.
A few more than Tibber, and waaaaay more than Hikebot's how-to-use-haz instructional videos. ;)

*Shameless Self-Promotion Alert*
Hey all, apologies in advance

Admins - if this is improper use of forums / photoset / triplogs, please delete.
I'm really, really, really excited to have 17 metal prints of my best work hanging at the Arizona Highways gift shop gallery, located at their headquarters in Central Phoenix (2039 W. Lewis Ave). They just remodeled the gift shop, so this is a relatively new deal - there is now a gallery space where each month they feature a different one of their photographers for a solo show. In this case, my work will be hanging all of December / January, perfect for holiday gifts! Did I mention they're for sale? ;)
For those interested in an advanced peak, you can see what the show looks like and the photos I have hanging here:
https://hikearizona.com/photoset.php?ID=42973
In place of typical caption cards (boooring) I put together a photobook that's on display next to the prints, which gives a thorough description and story/adventure behind each image (if there is one worthy of sharing for that particular photo). I'm not a great writer, but I feel my work is very location/adventure inspired as opposed to a pretty picture, so I felt inclined to share.
Anyhow, I really hope some people can stop by; it is a huge honor and privilege to have any of my work associated with Arizona Highways, much less have a show at their headquarters, so I really hope others may consider it worth a visit. And if you have some extra cash laying around, you can always buy a print and support both me and Arizona Highways ;)
The tricky logistics part: Gift shop is only open Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. I know this presents an issue for most, but hopefully some folks can still stop by.
Thanks for reading!

Just got my January 2018 issue of Arizona Highways.
After a year of illustrations, photography returns to the cover, and I can't think of a more worthy photographer to be featured.
Congratulations on the front cover shot
@JoelHazelton! You

rock!

@JoelHazelton
Of course. It needed some foreground wizardry!

While I occasionally try to limit the number of
boring photos I take, I'm comfortable knowing that wizardry will never be in my repertoire.

another stellar contribution by joel in the march issue of Arizona highways
a multi-page I-17 portfolio, a shot of massacre falls and a waterfall off barnhardt
my favorites are shots from apache maid mountain and the one of ocotillo above the agua fria river
very nice, joel!
