I don't think you posted this from your phone, so I'm trying to solve the puzzle.

Pam lives off the grid and operates the "self-propelled" interwebs. It's a combination of a stairmaster and hand-operated egg beaters connected to a bunch of wires and an old car battery.

 Not a bad idea, I should think about that...At least during Power Outages, I could multitask using Calories to generate electricity while I continued to stay glued to the Computer.... :D

I completely agree. Most of the rain tracked to the west through AZ. Payson got 2/10th's despite prediction of heavy rain.
Like others we cancelled our plans  I'm deaf now. I'm getting the blame and being called lousy weatherman! :guilty:
We went up to Horton Creek Sunday and when I pulled in to the parking area there were only 4 cars, unlike a few weeks ago when we couldn't park in it at all.
The Mrs. said she bets most folks didn't come because of the weather forecasts........ :y:
So by the time we got up to the rim it went from misting to a nice soft drizzle. Absolutely perfect for hiking and most importantly....No Lightning!

Well, this evenings Climate Update for Flagstaff around 1800 showed another half inch at the airport today, bringing the monthly total to 3.27 inches, so another above normal month, and I believe that total will be over for the Augusts mean. The 2 month total for Flagstaff is over 10 inches! Now, I know that even after I have made a statement where I fully understand the high level of variability that can exist during summer rains in the southwest, there will be those keen to point out the obvious that monsoon storms are spotty and one spot can get 50 feet in a day while another gets nothing all summer and blah, blah, blah.... Still, if one looks at monthly radar estimates for yesterday, the week, and month, there are areas, such as the western Mogollon Rim region, which includes Flagstaff, which have in excess of 3 inches of rain for the month, and very healthy total for the 7 day and 1 day period.

And, if you live in SE AZ and feel left out, the Tucson NWS has a story which talks about an inverted trough moving through the area Wednesday to Friday, causing an increase in thunderstorms, so there is potential for rain down there. However, we'll see how that goes, as just like the get rich quick schemes that I am so often suckered into, things don't always pan out as predicted.

I'm at the Ferry now. Was astonished to see most washes running, north of Flagstaff along 89, some of the Navajos looked stranded on the opposite shores of Hamblin wash, etc. The Paria looks like runny chocolate pudding. The Colorado River was muddy even coming out of Glen Canyon this morning, but as we spent the day rigging 5 boats, the river got greener and greener at the ramp. But of course, the Paria is BELOW the ramp, so anyone running the river is going to have muddy water the entire trip, with all the other creeks flashing. Also heard that Kanab had flashed pretty good.

Taken Monday night south of Chandler as it gobbled up South Mountain. Not the biggest or the baddest, but still fun to watch.

I don't suspect it's running any less now given the streamflow gauge downstream

The downstream end looks almost like a mud flow.

Sweet pumpkin it's really coming down right now. I don't think I've ever felt winds like that before, and that's not an exaggeration.

We're getting a nice shower right now. 40mph wind? That seems too slow for the way the van was swaying. :)

Half an inch out at Holloman, and I was rudely woken up by rain this morning. Got up, and low foggy clouds are hanging over Mineral Basin, Ortega Peak, and Marble Canyon. So much for Marble Canyon today. Dew point is 65 degrees at Holloman, same as the temperature. Nasty!
