What are your views on naturists/nudists? Has anyone come upon a naked hiker/camper and what was the outcome ?

:)

I know, you would think we were talking about Sarah Palin and tea being packed into some sort of a bag.

The only thing I want to know about nude hiking is the location of the trails all the Playboy Bunnies use. I'll stay far far away from ANYTHING else, I don't have any desire to see other hikers' junk or have mine be seen by them.

Now that I've said that, I will not view this thread anymore - the election advertisements are more civil.

I've been called re-todd-ed before. But not in this forum. And not while naked hiking.

Yeah!! Some of the stuff has given new meaning to the phrase "...letting it all hang out"!

Maybe we should focus on the firearms forum for a while...

I started this thread and was amazed that it is still here after 7 yrs...I'm a little older now but still hiking in the buff as much as I can...I have only come across 3 other hikers that did not like my uniform of the day...most just ignore me or smile as I pass.
Arizona is wide open and there is room for all ...thats why I moved here.

Well, sure, when you're a buff hiking fireman, most people aren't going to get too upset by your uniform of the day. Me, I think there would be some serious objections if I went nude hiking on the trails I frequent.

Yeah, most folks out there hiking are pretty laid back, not easy to take offense. I doubt many people get mad about it, even the redneck hunter types like me would only chuckle, though we wish you would encourage some of your lady friends to hike nude, as well. It would be like one of those Playboy letters, where the lonely hiker guy runs into a hot chick in the woods, who then jumps his bones. I have a better probability of getting struck by lightning, twice; than ever seeing a nude female hiker.

One thing is for certain: there is never a story to tell from sitting at home watching TV; only lost time.

There's a life lesson if there ever was one.

This article appeared in my facebook feed (I've got at least one friend that thinks this is an interesting idea). Reason enough to revive this thread? How about a naked rain dance from the top of whatever peak you're climbing this weekend? from (dead link removed)

We need the rain. If it works, I say go for it. : app :  But I thought the dance required blue corn pollen and virgins. I could be wrong.

I don't think anyone has ever "needed a reason" to resuscitate this thread. :A1: It's more like someone needs a silver bullet or Administrative Authority to terminate this topic. :-s  And there are some people here who like to keep stirring the pot :sl: :STP: ;) :guilty: And some people who like to use cool smilies.

I like the idea of naked virgins though. ;)
