Im new to hiking, and because of my schedule (bartender) I want to go during the late morning, but summer is here  and I was wondering if there are any trails in the phx. area that have any shade(trees, ect..). :?:

No, I am a 6 AM worker. It is great ot be off at 2:30, I and go for a Mtn bike ride right down the street. I am in East Mesa, on the edge of the desert. I guess because of my work time, I prefer the early morning weekend hikes, I like sunrises with a hike (not the tequila kind).

I'm sure liking these longer daylight hours, now I can head out after work with my dogs and hike some of the trails, temps are perfect and there's enough time to get up to the top and back down before dark.....yup Vanessa.....I'll bet those snakes are thinking that.......or...."I'm sure glad I don't have to wear shoes" :? oof....I don't like waking up at 4am for much of anything!! Except to maybe get an early start on driving to a destination to start camping or hiking.....or canoeing....or flipping over in that blasted kayak of mine. I'm kind of like you I guess, I think it may be easier for me to stay up, rather than try to wake up :o
