What temp would you guys cosider too hot for hiking?
I always kind of say that anything over 100 is pretty hot, but would still consider going out in it... what do you guys think is too hot to hike?

I agree with you, that's why I said that I wouldn't wear pants that are non-wicking. I've never had a chaffing issue with a shirt though, but I understand that long-distance runners have that problem. Apparently a little tape over each nipple does wonders.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of that. I bet it probably works until it comes time to take it off
The worst spots seem to be under pack straps and lower back where the pack weight sits. Regardless of how tight or balanced I ever get my pack, I always seem to need to powder those spots on long treks when real heat is involved. Temperate hikes are a different story, of course...

I have a Dueter day pack that causes chaffing on my love-handles (which I'm happy to say, are getting smaller), but it is the pack and not the shirt I'm wearing that causes the problem.

I've heard Spandex biker shorts are a good solution for leg chafing, but have no idea if that's true or not.

Yea, a couple of companies make a base layer made mostly of Lycra, etc; those are a must in the heat down here...
