@azbackpackr I heard on the news it was someone from the eastern U.S. Everyone knew it was in the Rockies, that was one of the clues...and that it was over 5,000 feet, near water, under trees where someone like him (in his 70s) could easily access it, etc.

A few more details have emerged since June:
The treasure was supposedly hidden in the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming (no further details)
