Hey fellow Hazers,
How did you do with your 2013 Hazalutions? I hope you all had a great year. I did meet a few more Hazers but would of liked to hike with more of you. We didn't find GPS Joe

. Thanks to BobP and all who looked and prayed for him to be found. The Eagle and I are almost done with the GCT. I got to do a lot of hiking and see some cool stuff from the Supes to Deer creek-Thunder River to name a few. I even got to do some hikes with my son which has been a blast. Thanks to him and all the other Hazers that let me hike with them! We did have some tragedy in the family with Grace's stroke and a couple of death's in the family which are still hard to believe. Grace did hike a mile this week

.
OK lets here some of your goals for 2014. I hope for all of my family and friends to have a safe and healthy year. I hope to do a lot more hikes with my son, Grace, and lots of Hazers. I hope to do some more Grand Canyon, Supes, Mazzi, GCT hikes as well as some new areas. I do need to get down Tucson way some more!
Cheers to all of you. I hope you all have a healthy and safe year and lots and lots of great hiking adventures! Happy New Year!

He is down from frostbite, so I highly doubt that he will.

C2C is a good strong 2014 goal. Good luck with that, Spiderlegs.

My Goals are pretty humble this Year....
Try to get Healthier and in much better Shape and gain back some serious Confidence this year.
I don't care anymore about Stats, although I definitely did not have as good of a Year as I did in 2012. Although my Stats on HAZ aren't entirely accurate as I did do a little more Hiking and took a buttload more Photos than I actually logged on here...
Learn more Technical Canyoneering and see more Canyons....As long as I stay healthy enough, that will begin to happen again for sure come April....
See more places in this State that I've never seen and take the time to enjoy it when I do.....Not just "Drive thru".....
See more places Out of State that I've never seen as well.....
And...last but not least....Win the Lottery so I can upgrade my Camera and Equipment...That's not too much to ask, is it??? I guess that means I better start buying a Ticket or two.....

That just might increase your odds a little bit.... ;)

Statistically buying a ticket doesn't really change the odds unless you run it out about 15 decimal places...

Can blow a dollar on a beer or blow a dollar on a lottery ticket, at least the lottery ticket has some chance, no matter how slim, of paying off. (Unless you are buying the beer in the bar for someone else, in which case that may have a payoff as well ...)

Looks like that has recently gotten popular amongst HAZers. Someone went last year, too.

With 95.6% of 2014 now complete ... did you (will you) meet your hazolutions for the year?
I'm happy with the 30+ pins I added in that oft-overlooked direction.

Let's see, Big Horn Peak, Saddle Mountain, Knob Hill, Harquahala Summit, Quartz Peak, city of Phoenix highpoint and while not in Arizona it is west of Phoenix off of I-10 also did Cactus to Clouds. So knocked a few westside peaks off my list in 2014.
Added a few new hiking and running partners.
Was hoping for some more miles and AEG. Lost most of January due to the sinus infection from hell and another 4-5 weeks around March when I gave my self a concussion out on the trail.

I've logged 231 miles of kayaking so far, but have not logged all that I did. (Most of it, though.) More kayaking than hiking, due to foot problems.

For 2014, I'll say big hikes (again), more travels, and more peaks. Ultimately, I want to be a lot more active than I was this year. I'd also like to go snowshoeing in Mesa Verde within the next two months along with some peakbagging in California.
Mesa Verde barely had snow, I went to California once for a couple hours of non-hiking shenanigans, I hiked about 50 more miles than I did last year (still have a little more time, too), and I traveled the about the same amount - maybe a tad bit more. I think I was somewhat on par.
Now we need a 2015 thread.
