I can and do send e-mails via APRS to my wife it works in about 90% of the places I have been in the state

On the lighter side, 
for those who have friends that give them a hard time about EVERYTHING..... Now that all the ruffled feathers have been smoothed.... I'm at work today, in the restroom when, knock, knock, knock "are you OK in there? Do you need me to call Search and Rescue? Maybe the Pinal County Sherifs?".... Then a quiet "hehehe"

Well I did it. On my way home to day I bought a Spot Gen 3. In the next couple of days I will get it activated. Now just checking out data packages.

I considered buying a Spot device but it got vetoed down by the wife. She either trusts my planning/abilities/judgements, or she is content with my life insurance coverage
