It's raining in NJ, too, but I doubt anyone is happy about it. If yesterday's forecast is right, we'll have rain or snow for seven consecutive days. I just got home and already wish I was back in AZ.

It is pouring out by Spur Cross. I work about 6 miles from there and I can't see any of the mountains north of Cave Creek due to the rain fall :D

It's going to be a fantastic wildflower season this year, the Cardinals will win the Superbowl, and ASU will win the national championship in football! :D

Well. I was wrong. I'm revising my estimate by one week.

Widespread snowfall of greater than 1-foot will happen next Friday, December 12th.

Aug 13 - was raining this AM but don't suspect it lasted long. (update 8-14-14, gauge added another 1/4" in the AM)
Aug 19 - 2 7/8" (includes 1" between 6-6:50AM)
Streets were high with running water almost to curb
Our 132 unit community drainage is full and NOT draining by 4PM.
Sept 8 - 3" between 2AM and 7AM
Surprisingly the streets were not running that high with running water vs Aug 19.
Surprisingly the community drainage had mostly drained by 4PM vs Aug 19.
Dec 4 - 7/8"
So total since August 2nd is 9" :o And we HAZers love our December rain as it usually brings a great show of spring flowers :) ; and I have a new camera!

San Francisco Peaks have some snow above treeline, but the Snotel site at 9700ft isn't reporting any accumulation.

@Patrick LThe storm this week brought rain to all but the very highest peaks. Snow level was over 10k ft and snowbowl was closed two days because it was raining (obviously they don't know how to run a resort like Vermont where it rains randomly all winter long). Snow level finally dropped below 9k but only a couple inches accumulated before it stopped.

Yeah, I checked the webcam again later today and I could see the snow level was higher than treeline. It was hard to tell earlier with some clouds still lingering. I'll be patiently awaiting the next storm. Thought this system was stronger than it actually was.

Look out! The Pineapple Express is coming through!

Northern and Central California appear to be in for a 5-9" soaking. That's a lot of rain. The Sierra will get a huge snowfall!

Looks like Arizona will just get a pittance. Up to 1/2" in the higher elevations.

HPP you should see some nice photogenic clouds in the canyon of the people of the blue-green waters. Not a washout though.
