It will need to stop raining in Texas before any monsoon activity can get going. It is unlikely to be early this year.

You know, this has got to be one of the longest springs I have lived through. Seriously, I loved it! Since summer temps are now here to stay, I mean. I realized that from basically mid January to just this week, I was essentially living with very pleasant, almost constant spring temps. Totally makes up for those years in Flag where winter lingered in to late May or even early June, it got nice, and then it was monsoon season. It was basically like that in Kayenta, and even in Alamo spring temps never seemed to last this long. Summer was milder, but that isn't the same since it was also very humid and wet.

An out of season trough and moisture from the tropical storms to the south might bring us early June humidity and thunderstorms later this week and weekend. It will mimic, but not be a monsoon flow, since a westerly trough will be the cause. More snow for the Peaks, in June? Who knows? Thunderstorms, rain, lightning, hail, and falling kittens for Tucson, Phoenix, and the Rim? Possibly.

It's very windy in Williams--airport reporting 30+ mph gusts. Glad I'm not driving my tour van today! Rain is supposed to move in tonight or tomorrow.

Holy cow, not to belabor the point, but I live in an RV, and it be rockin'. (No bad jokes please!) It's a little unsettling to have one's house shaking around like a boat. Gusts are now to 35.

I'm sitting here recovering from surgery, so I have nothing better to do than worry about the weather, haha!
