@SpiderLegs
Yeah some moderate totals in the .50s-.90s across the central corridor. Wind gusts were the real issue last night with quite a bit of damage and power outages.

I'm in San Diego area right now. It's raining here and weather map says it's raining in L.A. basin. Good news for SoCal.

I was at the dog park on 3rd ave and the 10 and that storm came out of nowhere. All comedy ensued as people rounded up their dogs and tried to get leashes on in the sudden downpour

Heavy rain and high winds in the vicinity of PIMC. Went to bed with a hot and very humid house after the power went out. Looking at the webcam for NAU aimed at the Peaks, the sky was so nice and clear, dry and beautiful last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and then the moisture, and gray clouds rolled back in. When will the monsoon die, already?

Intense hail storm in Grand Canyon Village for about 10 minutes yesterday afternoon. Sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy the rest of the day. Lots of rain and thunderstorms through the night and woke up to a cold and windy morning. Definitely jacket weather in northern AZ today. It never really feels like summer up in these parts and then it is winter again.

It's not monsoon, is it? It's been raining in San Diego and L.A. as well. I've been in North County (San Diego area) since Monday. It feels like Costa Rica out here. Very warm at night, very warm rain, very humid. Not very typical for this area. It's the leftovers from Hurricane Linda. SoCal will take any leftovers it can get. However at least 16 people (probably closer to 20) people are dead up in southern Utah/Arizona Strip area, due to getting caught in flash floods. Same storm, I think, from Hurricane Linda.

Nice. Could have been just as funny in half the time though.

Not in CA, but in AZ, it still is. Not sure about UT, but I think that is related to a trough and monsoon moisture coming up it from the south.

Muggy continues, as the worst time of year in Arizona just won't return to hell, where it came from. Dew points are way, way too high for this time of year. Do something about! Call, write, and email your congressman, and tell them to build a wall, or a laser beam, or step up patrols on the southern border to keep this menace out!

Almost time to break out the space heaters up here. I returned at midnight last night to 67 degrees in my apartment, reaching a low of 64 degrees this morning. For reference, the warmest it ever got in my place during summer was 84. On another note, I am looking forward to the warming trend and high 70s/sunny/dry returning over the weekend.

Frosted or fogged? It seems a bit too warm to have a frost.

It was fogged the past couple of weeks, but definitely frost this morning.

Oh boy :roll: I cannnnn't wait. Just what we need. Too early for flowers, too late to really do much for the growing season, not necessary for vegetation health over 5,000', not enough soil to benefit much in areas below 5,000', not over watersheds to benefit reservoirs, and it will carry too much sediment if heavy, anyway. I just love monsoon seasons enhanced by an El Nino. GreeAAaat. Just when it seemed like dry fall weather was here, this happens. I know who loves it, you know I hate it, but I still wanted to complain about it. I'm sick of El Nino, and it hasn't even started. What ever happened to a normal winter, with normal ranges of precip, and not extreme dry or wet ones? Sure hope there is a lot of snow, SNOW, above 8,000' this winter. Otherwise, this winter is going to resemble that Maroon 5 song that received hardly any airtime before being pulled for it's lyrics.

Of what? "Monsoon Season", ends 9-30, Fall arrived this week, and meterological fall began 9-1. In just about every year except last year (and maybe, but hopefully not this) it was dry and pleasant by the middle to end of September. This isn't normal, this is freak show territory. Hell, by the 10th of September of 2012, it was already really dry, just as it should be!
