I expect floods, destruction, cattle and sheep dying, streets running thick with blood, and perhaps, maybe, some rain in SE Arizona. The first part is just my usual expectations for Maricopa County.

All it needs is for a nice rainmaker to park itself over one area. Fri nite Nogales calls for 1-2 inches of rain, not a lot as dry as it's been but I can hope. I'll just be glad to get wet!

It's been sprinkling for the last hour or so at Roper ... enough that the ground is almost wet now!
It's a promising start - can't wait to see what happens in the next 24 hours.

Even though Bud only packed the wallop of about a 12 pack, it did quite well in my area. I ended up with a total of .88 inch, which is a big amount for June of course. :D Yearly total now up to 2.92 inches.

Well, no washes running but quite a few did, I just missed it. Hiked Atascosa which I haven't in years and big view with big clouds and some rain. Past Ruby heading into Arivaca quite a few places, the normal , with pools and debris on the road. Past Arivaca to the checkpoint quite a few areas with flooding on the pavement, making some waves as I drove thru. One place the road closed sign was upside down in the wash about 40 feet from the road.

From NWS PHX
The high temperature today in Phoenix was 82° which is 22 degrees below normal, and sets a new record low maximum temperature for this date. The old record was 83° set in 1995.
We seem to set new record high minimum temperatures once or twice each summer, but I can't recall the last time we set a new record low maximum.

Oh, and it's exceptionally nice out there this evening too. As long as you don't mind a little bit of humidity.

A return to more or less typical PRE-MONSOON weather, as is NORMAL for the middle of June. This is despite what the NWS calendar based monsoon season people will tell you. Freak Global Warming storms aside, it will still be some time before daily dew points are up and storms the normal thing or common. Sorry Folks, don't expect Humphrey or the Rim to open up for your hiking pleasure. Wish they would, but we'll have to wait.

If anything, the weird thing to me, is how cool this June may be. So far there have been no 110+ temps, and for the PHX 7 day NWS forecast there aren't eitehr, and who knows when we will hit 115?!?
