Just checked the rain gauge at the park across the street from my subdivision (Arthur Pack Park). According to Pima County my new house has received 4.5" of rain in the past three days. Today's storm was another huge one.

Phoenix weather got an extended segment on the NYC news tonight as they showed a Channel 12 meteorologist struggling with an umbrella in the wind.

Phoenix Rainpocalypse 2018!!! 😱

With .80 today, I’m up to 1.35” over two days. Tomorrow still has a good chance to add to it too, but I don’t think monsoon rains have ever happened 3 days in a row at my house before.

Ah, the good old flash flood watch...what better way to kill off chances for significant thunderstorm activity (at least down here in southeastern Arizona). Day late and a dollar short guys. :lol:

Long thunderstorm centered here in Flagstaff has now tapered off to a steady rain. It's been going on for a couple hours.

With all of that concrete for the runway atop Birch Mesa it must create a heat island, I have had nearly 3 1/2 inches on the North end of Payson.

Some crazy reports coming to me out of Flagstaff. I live there, but I'm in Minnesota right now. 4" of rain in a short time on east side, evacuations in Timberline area, quarter sized hail, flooding downtown, cars under water, etc. I called my landlady and she said everything ok at our place because we're on high ground.

Night hike this morning with navigation exercises near the road to the Barnhardt trailhead (noted a white colored vehicle heading up to the trailhead before sunrise) and I noted its going to be a stormy day. Water flowing in Rye creek and AZ 87. Was in the Mesquite Bosque near Granite Reef and the cicadas were making quite the racket. Finished my trip to the valley and was going to return home to Payson by way of Rock Springs Cafe :D but did not like the cloud buildup and went home on the Beeline, thunder storm with hail when I arrived home.

Been trying to locate lake levels for lakes near Williams (Dogtown) and Lake Mary and Mormon Lake.

@Nighthiker
Mormon Lake has been dry. I suppose you're wondering if recent rains have affected it? If I go by there tomorrow I'll post.

Apparently it’s supposed to be warm-ish tomorrow? It’s been a reasonably temperate summer thusfar.
