@Bradshaws I don't care much for the Mexico team, but agree they got done (again) by the referees. They fully deserved their win. Too bad they could not out score Brazil (who I hate worse -- diving cheats) to take first in the group ...

Suarez is a biter. Lol.
Uruguay is done without him, and he certainly won't play another game in this world cup.
Too bad that's the headline, because Costa Rica England was a much more entertaining match to watch.

You can't hold it against an Uruguayan for biting

The munchies are a very strong side effect ....and who doesn't like Italian
(Once again, I couldn't resist

I'm old enough to remember when soccer players had to be crashed in the Andes before they started eating each other.

Team England's problem is simply that they fielded a guy who is much better at basketball...

Suarez takes bite out of Swedish bookmaker
A Norwegian man

has won a sizeable payout after betting that Uruguay striker Luis Suarez would bite someone during the World Cup.
Richard Helmersen, who won £2,000 from the bet, said he would spend his winnings on "a holiday, parties and fun."

In high school, I broke my nose on a corner kick, which resulted in the only goal I ever scored.

I didn't see coming, because the kicker hooked it around the defender who was screening me. Not only did I not see the ball coming, I didn't see the goal, either, because I was somewhat unconscious. :stretch:
EDIT: I should add that I wasn't looking for it because I wasn't the intended recipient of the pass. The kicker just shanked it. Also, seeing as how it was still the dark ages, I was back in the game as soon as the bleeding stopped and I could count fingers.

I can't find the image online, but in 1990 I had a nice poster of an advertisement. Couldn't be more true.
Vulnerability is the message in an advertisement for Champion Athletic apparel showing four soccer players -- hands covering their crotches, pained expressions on their faces -- with the inscription: "There's no such thing as a free kick. It's just a question of who pays."

9 matches and 4 month banned from any football related activity and 110,000 Swiss Francs(100,000usd) fine for Suarez biting

Should be a lot more. Sends wrong message and damages FIFA reputation.

@mazatzal I totally agree. Things being what they are in this day and age, MONEY is what kept that from happening

Suarez's contact with Liverpool and his sponsors are what kept him playing. The real test will be to see what Liverpool and his sponsors do now.

I agree, but it's really not possible to damage FIFA's reputation any more than it already is ...

Too true, rewording:
Should be a lot more. Sends wrong message and fails to improve FIFA's reputation
FIFA needs a better Blatter

I want to cheer for USA for advancing but it is a little unsatisfying

It really looked like they didn't care today. Maybe partying a little too hard, one too many caipirinhas ;)
