The endless chatter of weather.

This is possibly the worst summer in Phoenix in decades. Certainly the most miserable I have lived through. Sort of makes me regret buying. Time will tell.

Today was the hottest October day ever! Woot!
(*ever = back to 1895)

:) Agreed, but the 13th and 14th century's were so bad they drove most people living here completely out of the area. Don't need a repeat of that. :-)

Personally I'm more of a Little Ice Age kind of guy.

Might be fake news but I read somewhere that this year was the second driest monsoon just behind 1924. Also temps are dipping but later on in the coming week back up to the upper 90's in southern Arizona. Endless summer indeed.

@RedRoxx44 Depends on location. By statewide average it was #1 driest... by a long shot.
Not only did the entire state of Arizona just come off its driest Monsoon, but it wasn't even close! Nearly half the amount of the previous record low amount, and less than 1/3 of the average. That's astounding when considering this is averaged over the entire state for 3+ months.

I "like" how our "cool down" this weekend is still in the middle 90s, and several degrees above normal. Then we're back to the upper 90s and 100 (for my location near SoMO) by midweek and close to 10 degrees above normal.

At least the mornings are cool!!!

Also located near south mountain... According to my weather station we've never dipped below 100º yet, maybe this next week, but I doubt it. Not looking forward to a January when it's still in the mid 80s and probably a few weeks where it reaches 90+.

I went for a bike ride the other night along the canal and I was positively shivering with cold. I looked down and saw my Garmin reading was 78 degrees outside at 10pm. **Winter has arrived people!**

What?! What ?! What?!

I'll believe it when I see it, but it needs to go to California.

There's something white and puffy in the sky. I know I've seen them before...

This is a weather topic, was that a rain dance?

Call me a skeptic ... I'm looking forward to cooler weather, but the hysteria about a system that may drop half an inch of rain over mountainous terrain is laughable to me. I get it. It hasn't rained in a year or whatever. But that doesn't mean we need to start stacking sandbags around the house. Relax everybody.

@friendofThundergod I’ve had friends ask me if I’m planning to hike Monday for that very reason. Methinks some people are going to be disappointed.
