63 is a wonderful temperature. I wouldn't mind if it were 63 all the time.

Probably can get your wish at about 15'-18' underground depending on your location. :-)

I don't think I can get them to bury me that deep.

Low-mid 70s in NJ today, record heat. I raked leaves and did my brutal hill workout in a t-shirt, which is totally abnormal for November. Eight years ago, after Sandy, we had about a foot of snow on the ground.

It's chilly!! And, it snowed, and a fair amount for early November. From the Long Valley Webcam on San Jacinto (CA) to Flagstaff, the Peaks, and the Catalina Mountains. Right from a late hot summer to a blast of refreshing(?) winter.
It will melt.

Here is a video taken from San Jacinto Peak on Saturday:

Two days prior it was t-shirt and shorts weather on the peak

Lost another tree in the backyard with the winds this last weekend. Allergies (for me) have been the worst these past few days. Hopefully, we don't see temps in the 90s anymore. I am sure there will be some warm days in December. Probably back up to 85+ in January...

In LaBarge Canyon last Saturday and we couldn't figure out at first whether it was fog or pollution or dust or rain clogging up the view. The weather changed literally from 90*F the day before to 60*F the next day. We eventually determined it to be a combination of dust & pollution from the valley pushing its way through the Superstitions. Combined with two burn scars and dry creeks it resembled a wild end of the world type of scene.

How appropriate! We just ended a run of six days with highs in the mid-70s (and even upper 70s). It's the first time since records have been kept that there were more than consecutive days of 70-degree weather in November. Normal high for this time of year is the mid-50s.

I know it isn't the same, since we're known for heat, but the current high temperature forecast for Phoenix on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the coming week are 87, 88, and 88. We're all experiencing unseasonable, "heat". However, 88 is only 10 degrees above the mean for yesterday, maybe 12 above this coming Wednesday.

Have you picked a new general location?

I have plan. I will not disclose. I have 16 miles to hike to reach 700 miles this year thus far. Soooo that is my very short term goal.
