Why? All I see are two native animals enjoying the great outdoors. One just happens to be slightly anthropomorphized and has a large grin, for some reason. Surely, nothing untoward happening there. Is there a sudden outbreak of bear hatred?

Yup! It's the best way to have a quiet camp. Play your banjo, and neighboring camps will be quickly vacated.
