I'm at .78 on my home station at Cave Creek and Deer Valley since it started up again!
It also only takes me 10 minutes to get to a home depot or lowes or groceries AND I have rain. Truly winning in life

@xsproutx @chumley
I'm just thrilled for the health of the desert. :-)
Tired of seeing newly downed saguaros every week.

The rain here wasn't much but earlier light snow down almost to the base for the Santa Ritas.

Cave Creek ended up with 0.98" last night and I woke up to a dusting of snow around Spur Cross.👍
Hopefully we can add to that next week.

That's pretty substantial. The terrain in that area looks susceptible to localized flooding. Is an inch enough to fill the arroyos?

It came down over the course of many hours, so thankfully there was very little runoff, if any. All of it had time to soak in.
Other times half an inch falling quickly causes real problems.

Indeed; Maricopa monitors this area for that reason as well: https://alert.fcd.maricopa.gov/alert/Go ... /gmap.html so you can see good data along Cave Creek

👍 That's a great link. I've had a shortcut to it on my desktop for about 10 years.

As a matter of fact, I think you may have been the one that clued me into it a few years ago! Possibly could have been chums, but you get the credit either way.

Good snow in the Ancha yesterday, talk about a nice late season reprieve for that area. I would say 8-10 inches above 6k feet. I went to the Miles TH area too yesterday and although nothing was flowing, there were signs of a fair amount of rain and a nice dusting of snow on the higher peaks in the distance. Tons of snow at the Top of the World and the poppies are already out in Globe.

Seems like we should be talking about the results of the suggestive looking omega blocker weather maps. One triplog involved snacking on mushrooms and seeing some snow today. The rest of us were blessed with the kind of temps and moistitude that May the fourth rarely delivers in these parts.
