wildlife encounters

This afternoon I was wandering out in Tucson Mountain Park and stumbled upon a small bunch of javalina in a little wash. Made me think about the wildlife I've been lucky to see over the past few years ... bear, elk, bison, eagles, bighorn sheep, a bobcat, a gila monster, etc, etc, not to mention various unfriendly crawling critters. Never seen a mountain lion, but I heard one bringing down a deer one time, off in the woods. I was also stalked by a griz a couple years ago, up in the Tetons. I was never so petrified in my life.
So I'm curious ... what wildlife have you guys seen?

Warning! If you stumble on a Grow Site while Hiking, Booby Traps aren't the only things to be watching out for....

Here's one for you all...What to do if tracked by a Mountain Lion...This Guy sure figured it out in a hurry! Turn up your Volume, this Cat was Vocal too!

As much I would have loved the Photo Ops on this, I think I might have actually had to clean my Shorts after this One!

Makes me glad I didn't say "here kitty kitty" when one walked right by my tent (about 8-10 feet away) this summer. I bet if I had, he would have been gone in a flash and I never would have got that blurry photo of him. BUT, you never know. This one seemed more curious than anything. Just remember...Look Big and Get Loud!

We have signs all over the hood with directions and warnings of encounters. In the spring there was one pacing in broad daylight across from the elementary school. Their preferred diet in or neighborhood however is dog.

Funny you should mention that. There was one point when the cat started getting vocal, that sounded a lot like a recording that I have heard before. Not to mention that when the cat was making sounds, it was hidden from view. There may indeed have been some embellishment of the danger. ;)

Scan through the comments and you'll see what the video creator said:
When I added the sound to the beginning and the end of the video, I also added the giant cat's noise, and I also added some freeze feature when the mountain lion were walking toward Chris, just hoping you can really feel the scary situation.
