"One person took a photo of a lion near one of the bridges in the canyon," Hart said. "The lion in that photo is in a fairly menacing pose."

You can tell that AZGFD employs highly knowledgeable professionals. They are so in tune with mountain lions that AZGFD can determine the threat posed by a mountain lion from a single photo.

There's less of a threat on Tuesday when the animals return to work.

AZGFD shot and killed the bear yesterday after it charged a game officer in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. Interestingly the bear had been previously relocated from Greer to north of Globe and then wandered on down to the Catalinas where it met its demise.

One of my favorite South Park clips ever. Didn't that episode also include the quote "Hunting without beer is like ... fishing ... without beer!" ?

At least it wasn't like a few years ago when there were a handful of bear attacks near the Mogollon Rim so they went out and killed every bear they found until they got the right one. Did they ever prove they got the right one? I don't remember.

This is not limited to animals. It's true for pretty much everything including other humans.
