We are excited. I have not "camped" since my service as a paratrooper(I told myself I would never go "camping" again)! Where should we camp close to this hike? I can drive if need be to and from camp site. We want to camp a few nights and tie in this west fork 108 hike. Thanks so much and happy trails

@tebby
It's a bit chilly to camp there in winter -- in fact some of the campgrounds are not even open. But if you are planning on going in spring or summer, there are a few campgrounds nearby:
Cave Spring Campground
Manzanita Campground
Pine Flat Campground
If you prefer more primitive "dispersed camping" with no facilities, the closest option is at
Pumphouse Wash (Forest Road 237).

THank you so very much for this valuable info. We are going over spring break. Do I need to make a resv at any of the campgrounds listed or buy a camping permit.
Sorry for the neophyte questions
