I am looking for a hike in the sedona area. Maybe 5-6 miles, preferably with a destination (or at least turnaround) near water.

Any suggestions welcomed.

West Fork--Not sure this is what you have in mind but from the description:
"The creek winds back and forth, opens up, narrows, deep pools, shallow pools, tiny cascades you name it. " (Joe Bartels)

A group is going Saturday, June 21st, see HAZ group hike #24, set up by Beth.

Matt,

I'd recommend West Fork. There isn't really a definite end until you get out of the canyon (12+ miles upstream) but the maintained portion of the trail is about 3 miles each way. This part is really easy (large sandy trail and easy water crossings) but you will get your shoes wet.
Join us on saturday if you can.
