West Fork of Oak Creek #108 water levels

Hello! Anyone been to the back side of West Fork of Oak Creek recently? I spoke with a ranger that warned to bring floats for gear and that there was deep water and to expect "a lot of swimming." I remember the part at the end of the official trail being slightly deeper and then another section, maybe 6 miles in, that is swim-worthy, but last I was there (granted, in the fall) the majority of the trail through the creek in the canyon was maybe ankle or calf height. Hoping to get back there this weekend. I appreciate the feedback!!

I haven’t been there recently but given the winter snowfall and how early in the season it is, it’s a good bet the ranger is right. I would expect 4-6 very, very cold mandatory swimmers in the upper half of the canyon.
