I will probably be doing this hike in late Sept/early Oct if weather cooperates. I went thru solo from Wire Pass up to the WhiteHouse trailhead at Paria a couple of years ago in May. If you go with someone, check with BLM for pothole status> the gulch may be dry due to the drought. If not, waterproof your pack, take a trekking pole, fast film and have a ball.

Summer is a dangerous time to do that hike. Monsoon storms flood the canyon frequently in the summer. You need to look at the weather reports for a few days everywhere that feeds buckskin before going. It also gets hot up there in the summer but it's usually nice in the slots. I'd suggest waiting til the fall to do it.
I day hiked White house to the boulder jam memorial day weekend. It was muddy but no muck holes. The BLM report at that time said there was a flood a few days earlier and there were several holes between the wire pass and the boulder jam.
I did Wire pass to the boulder jam a few years ago and there were at least 10 waist deep muck holes. This muck is the nastiest stuff I've ever seen. It looks like and has the consistency of hot fudge but it smells like things have died in it. My wife will never do that hike again.

I noticed the article in today's paper on this hike. I hope it doesn't draw too many people up there. BLM is already considering limiting day hikers and they already limit overnight hikers.
