We are fairly new to canyoneering. After a few guided trips, we recently went through Babe's Hole and then Bear Canyon on our own, as these had positive reviews as good canyons for beginners. Things went well for us, and we liked those canyons, particularly Bear Canyon. We are looking for some recommendations on what canyons might be a good "next step up" for us. i.e., What canyons might be progressively more difficult / technical / higher rappels than these, but nothing crazy. I'm thinking well-traveled canyons with max rappels around 100 feet, without the need for super creative anchor building (cairn anchors and such) or serious keeper pot holes. Greatly appreciate any ideas and comments!

If you don't have it already, pick up a copy of Todd Martin's book Arizona Technical Canyoneering. It has all the info you need to put together a solid progression of increasingly challenging canyons. Chapter 2 alone lists 21 Mogollon Plateau canyons, many of which should already be within your abilities.
