I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any glyphs at Canyon Lake. I am very curious and would love to explore it/them. Thank you fellow HAZ'ers

There's definitely some up there..

The ground metates in photo 19 were right below them. There was actually a couple others glyphs that were more faint and weren't worthy of trying to photograph. Ever since that day I've wanted to go back and explore up there. Photo 19 is geocoded. Take a look at the area on satellite. I've always wondered if there's a dwelling up there somewhere. Lots of hidden cliffs and alcoves. An added bonus is that this is a great time of year for this hike. It's just beautiful up there. The Lost World. The creek is probably running and I would say especially so after this week. If the waterfall cliff face viewable from the lake is black and wet there's water in the upper canyon.

@ssk44
Geocoding location isn't enabled for me any longer since I haven't contributed to the site in a while.

Ha.. You're not worthy!
Just look at my map attached to the hike description and within my photo set. The hike up from the lake is basically walk to the upper cliff face and hang a right. From there head across that shelf to the canyon. You'll find the petroglyphs and ground metates in an alcove along that route. I don't remember exactly where it was but I think you'll walk right into it. Good luck and happy hunting. It's a cool place. You'll like it.

The shelf in this photo heading out from the saguaro cactus on the right edge should lead towards the location.

If you go, you could post a triplog with details to gain contributing access.

@joebartels
I have, and thought I was good. But I was still blocked from access.
