Recently it was brought to my attention that fourr (sp) Ranch took it upon themselves to close off & Lock the gate to
Arizona State Trust and Federal Land. I reached out personally to one of my associates at BLM here locally to Dragoon
and requested an agent to come and snap the lock.
The area is now open to ATV, 4X4, Hikers, Horseback and limited Vehicular thoroughfare. A State Parks and Recreations
Permit is REQUIRED, but can be attained by going to the website: www.AZLand.gov/rp and paying a $16 fee which grants
access to ALL Arizona State Parks & Recreational Areas. This Permit is good for 1 year at which time it must be renewed
to continue using ANY State or Nation Parks & Recreation areas.

REMINDER: When entering ANY and ALL State Trust or Federal Land, you MUST carry your AZ Permit with you and it MUST
be in your Possession at all times.

Your wording is bit off here. This fee is only for State Trust Lands and only for State Trust Lands open to Recreation. It does not apply to State Parks or anything Federal. In addition, OHV Riders must also have an OHV Decal or LIcense Plate.

An Individual Permit is $15 and grants a single person access to State Trust land for certain types of recreational activities including bicycling, bird watching, GPS-based recreational activities (geocaching), hiking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle (OHV) usage, photography, picnicking, and sightseeing.

The Permittee(s) shall not participate in OHV usage on State Trust land without both an ASLD Recreational Permit and an OHV decal or license plate. The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) is the issuing agency for the OHV decal, certificates of title, registrations, and license plates.

The Permittee(s) acknowledge that recreation on State Trust land must only be conducted on lands that are open for recreation. Lands leased for agriculture, mining, commercial, or military purposes are not open to recreational use. Other State Trust lands may be closed to some or all recreational uses in coordination with other land management agencies. Permittee(s) is responsible for being aware of and complying with State Trust land closures.

It's $15 + $1 Convenience fee for a total of $16. The OHV tag requirement is common sense (IMO). As with
any vehicle, tags etc. are required.
