Maybe we ought to consolidate all of these Tonto Fires into a single super thread? "The Tonto NF 2020 Non-Soon Fire Thread"?

I'm not familiar with that area beyond my February Black Mesa Cave Creek hike. It looks like the lowest visible contour interval is 3600', and elevations extend up to 4000 and 4400' in close proximity to the burn symbol on the map. No perimeter map, yet. Any idea what vegetation type this is? Upper Sonoran Shrub, or more lower elevation grass and Juniper? Hard to tell in a pixelated night image, but that looks like juniper.

Not much, if any, Juniper in that area as I remember. Much of that area burned in the Cave Creek Complex Fire in 2005.

Grass and shrub, there's juniper on the north facing slopes around there. Hopefully they keep it between Seven Springs Road and Cottonwood trail.
