Boulder Canyon... water?

Alright, I'm thinking about doing a bit of a type 2 backpacking trip tonight to see how fun/not fun it is to backpack in this heat. My plan is to just hike down second water to boulder canyon and spend the night there; nothing too strenuous or far. I'm curious if anyone thinks there will be water at second water spring or even in boulder canyon right now? We've obviously been getting some good rain but I'm not certain how quickly the water disappears in boulder canyon after rains; my guess is pretty quickly. My plan right now is to take enough water that I can get there and then scope out the water availability; if there isn't any, I'll just make it a bit of an out and back. My load out is only 7.5lbs without water so I'm not rucking around a million pounds in this heat.
Water reports in the supes in July/August are uhh... lacking... for obvious reasons. Just curious, especially on boulder canyon, what people have experienced water-wise there in the summer after monsoons. It'd be super cool if there was running water there I could dip my feet in but I have a feeling it takes a lot more sustained rain to get anything going in there.
