Planning a quick backpacking trip along Cave Creek Trail (possibly with Skunk Tank Trail for a loop.) Called ranger station to get a water update and they didn't have one. Anyone know how Cave Creek, Matty's Fork, or the nearby springs are flowing? Any information is greatly appreciated

To piggy back on this; if you want to hike in from the area near seven springs, where's a good place to park and do you need a tonto pass if you're not in one of the campground areas? The sat maps aren't quite clear as there are various structures nearby that I'm not certain are private property or not

Plenty of parking at the paved Cave Creek Trailhead. And a pit toilet. No pass required.
