Not really political but depends on how you feel about guns. Lots of attention to stuff nowadays but in 1989 in Tacoma Wa there was a shoot out between some off duty Army Rangers and the Crips gang. The main purpose was to take out a crack house which apparently succeeded with no loss of life.

And the Rooftop Koreans----- 1992 LA riots. Must admit quite a lot going on in those days. I was a lot younger and it seemed like not such a big deal; guess because I wasn't affected by it.
